Susan Diane Reed, 62, of North Bethesda, MD, mother of Jessica Mortimer, died peacefully in her sleep on November 2, 2021.
She was passionate about martial arts, achieving the Fourth Degree Black Belt in 1997.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Glenn A. Reed and F. Jean Reed of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Pine Grove; a grandson Paul R. Vinci; and a brother Randall "Randy" Reed.
She is survived by an uncle, Harry W. Fessler of Pine Grove and numerous cousins, Leora Kirkpatrick of Wormleysburg, Jane Wolfe of Pine Grove, Harriet Kutz of Lebanon, Dale Reed of Schuylkill Haven, Joann Gerber of Cressona, Beverly Gates of Schuylkill Haven, Kathleen Reber of Schuylkill Haven, Rebecca McBreen of Schuylkill Haven, and Janice Becker of Bethlehem.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the convenience of the family. Susan's final resting place will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove is handling the local arrangements.
