Ronald Eugene Gilbert, Sr., 61, of N. 6th St., Reading, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at home.

Born on April 22, 1962 in Reading, he was a son of the late Roy F. and Betty Bortz Gilbert.

He was an Army Veteran.

Ronald worked as an Independent Roofer.

Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn Gilbert; three sons, Brandon Gilbert, Joshua Gilbert, Ronald Gilbert, Jr. and wife Kandra; three grandchildren, Serenity, Raven, and Korra Gilbert; four brothers, David, Roy W.,  Richard, and Brian Gilbert.

There will be a visitation on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 139 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, PA 17963 in his memory to help with expenses.
