Robert S. Jarrett, 74, of S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at home.

Born on December 4, 1948 in Brooklyn, N.Y.,  he was a son of the late Robert J. and Virginia L. McAndrews Jarrett.

He was a graduate of Bushwick High School in New York.

Robert was a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam.  He received the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ 60 device, and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medal with Palm. 

Robert worked in the Printing Dept. at Ridgewood Savings Bank in New York and then was a Security Guard at the Federal Reserve Bank in New York.

He was a member of the Pine Grove VFW Post 3432 and the Pine Grove American Legion Post 374.

Preceding him in death were a sister Janet Bosler and a brother William Jarrett.

Surviving are his companion of 15 years, Marjorie Horning; a sister; nieces; and great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home., Inc., Pine Grove with Military Honors to be held at 7:00 P.M.
