Robert J. Donmoyer

Robert J. Donmoyer, 85, of Wideawake St., Pine Grove, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025 in Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg. 

Born on September 29, 1940 in Joliett, he was a son of the late Ralph and Dorothy Shelters Donmoyer. 

Robert was a United States Army Veteran having been stationed in Germany. While there, he was factory trained in Volkswagons. 

He also trained in Volkswagen repair at a facility in King of Prussia and then worked at local VW dealerships prior to purchasing his own garage, Donmoyer's Volkswagen Sales and Service in Tremont. There he worked as a mechanic and a used car salesman. He enjoyed working on cars and was the owner of his beloved VW Sprint race car called the "7x" and spent many a night competing in racing events. 

Robert was a member of the Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont. 

Preceding him in death were two sisters, Jeanette Donmoyer and Elizabeth Marko. 

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Maryann Shollenberger Donmoyer; two sons, James Donmoyer of Pine Grove, Ryan Donmoyer of Donaldson; a daughter, Renee and husband Brian Davis of Catawissa; five grandchildren, Hanna, Camryn, Jada, Mason and Brady; a brother, Ralph Donmoyer of Newtown; two sisters, Shirley Wagner of Joliett and Jean Dietrich of Cressona; nieces and nephews. 

Graveside Services and interment will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville with Father George Kochuparambil officiating. There will be a procession leaving the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove at 10:00 A.M. Anyone wishing to follow in the procession should be at the Funeral Home by 9:45 A.M.
