Vietnam Veteran Richard C. Stewart, Jr., aged 79, of Tremont, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2024. Born on September 17, 1944, in Philadelphia, he was the beloved son of the late Richard C. Sr. & Esther (Morgan) Stewart. Richard proudly served as an Infantry Marine during the Vietnam War.
Richard was a skilled cook and enjoyed cooking for his family, he was a member of the Boilermaker’s union and dedicated his talents to the Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia. Richard loved music, playing the drums, riding his motorcycle and living each day to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Joan Hodges, Ruth Stewart, and Lois Michell. Richard is survived by his loving daughters, Kathleen (Brian) Bacon of Eagleville, Sandra (Terry) Heim of Pine Grove, and his son, Richard (Rain) Stewart III of Pennsburg. He will be remembered by his six grandchildren: Angela, Leigh, Ethan, Austin, Mackenzie, and Xavier, as well as his great-granddaughter, Alice who all fondly called him “Pop”.
Additionally, he is survived by his two sisters, Margie Stetz of Levittown and Virginia VanHest of Wrightstown, N.J,
