Norman R. Leininger, 81, of Swopes Valley Rd., Pine Grove, passed away (this wasn't the first time but here we are for the last time) on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 in the Tremont Health & Rehab Center.  

Born on November 15, 1943 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late William Sr. and Vivian Herb Leininger.

He was a United States Army Veteran where he earned an Expert Medal (Rifle M-14) and the Parachutist Badge.  He was a member of the US Parachute Assoc. and the 82nd Airborne Division Assoc.

He was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

Norman retired from the Harrisburg Carpenters Union and PA State Civil Service where he worked in construction for the PA State Liquor Control Board.

Surviving are two sons, Nevin Leininger of Kansas City, KS, Corey Leininger of Pine Grove; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a brother, William Leininger, Jr. of Palmyra and his past wife Betty.

There will be a viewing on Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
