Norman D. Delp

Norman D. Delp, 91 of Schuylkill Haven (Washington Twp.), passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 in the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, Scranton.
Born on April 28, 1931 in Reading, he was a son of the late Walter and Una Rebecca Kline Delp.
Norman was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School and Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute (currently part of Penn State University).
He was a Corporal in the United States Army serving during the Korean War.
Norman was a Wood Pattern Maker.
He was affiliated with Spies Lutheran Church in Berks County and was a member of the Pine Grove American Legion Post 374 and the Roedersville Game and Fish.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 68 years, Violet M. Schadler Delp, a grandson, Benjamin Delp; a brother Russell Delp and a sister Pearl Miller.
Surviving are three sons, Steven and wife Penny Delp, Timothy and wife Kathy Delp, both of Schuylkill Haven, Daniel and wife Tracey Delp of Port Treverton; two daughters, Marcie and husband Bill Appelt of Mocksville, N.C., Karen and husband Rich Loveless of Shillington; 5 grandchildren, Eric, Meghan, Alex, Emili, and Austin; 9 great grandchildren, Bryce, Chase, Joey, Tommy, Everly, Killian, River, Grayson and Woodrow; a brother Lester Delp and two sisters, June Ellis and Pauline DeLong.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 11:30 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Kyle Roth officiating. There will be a viewing on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Manbeck's Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Manbeck's Church Memorial Fund c/o Deborah Reiter 159 Spittler Rd., Pine Grove, PA 17963 in his memory.
