Leonie N. DesRosiers

Leonie Norma DesRosiers, went to her heavenly home to join other family members preceding her on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Geisinger St. Lukes, Orwigsburg.
Born on September 28, 1939 in Manchester, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Aime and Yvonne Roy Latulippe.
Leonie was a graduate of Manchester High School, Manchester, Connecticut.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.
Leonie was a nurses aide in CT for several months and afterward, before children arrived, was involved several years with her husband in Mink Farming. She also had some other clerical jobs before starting at McDonalds in Pine Grove and retiring after 30 plus years. She also performed services for senior citizens.
She was active on a bowling league for a few years, loved going to the movies, gardening, outdoor work, sewing, reading, puzzles and dancing.
Preceding her in death were her husband Raymond A. DesRosiers, a brother Maurice Latulippe, and her in-laws, Alexander DesRosiers and Laurette Gadbois Marquis.
Surviving are two daughters, Laurette Hartman of Lakeland, FL, Violet (John) Berger of Cleona; three sons, Gerald (Carrie) DesRosiers of Sebring, FL, Wilfred (Donna) DesRosiers of Auburn, and Raymond DesRosiers of Reistville; 13 grandchildren, Ryan, Nichole, Jeanna, Brigette, Vincent, Christopher, Sarah, Logan, Liam, Lance, Justin, Betty and Renee; 14 plus great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Latulippe, Norman (Linda) Latulippe; a sister Marianne (Robert Cyr.) Lessard; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 201 Randal St. Schuylkill Haven with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating. There will be a viewing on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the Church. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place Suite 170, Bethlehem, Pa. 18017 or www.cancer.org or to St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 201 Randel St., Schuylkill Haven, Pa. 17972 in her memory.
