Joseph J. Dombkowski, Jr., 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025 in Cedar Haven Healthcare Center, Lebanon.

Born on November 7, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Joseph J. Sr. and Jadwiga Hattie Supranowitz Dombkowski.

Joseph worked in the Sorting Dept for the United States Postal Service, was a School Aid for the New York City Board of Education, and worked in the mailroom at McGraw Hill Publishing. He also was an Amateur Photographer.

He was a former Boy Scout Leader of Troop 996 in Brooklyn, New York and was a member of the NRA. He loved organ music and traveling. He and his wife traveled all over the world and they often took his nieces and nephews on trips with them.

He was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Lancaster.

Preceded him in death were his wife, Justine Gaydek Dombkowski, and a sister, Mary Joan Dombkowski.

Surviving are a brother, Peter Dombkowski of Florida; a sister, Theresa Kardys of California; a sister-in-law, Joanna Laczynski of Pine Grove; nieces and nephews..

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
