John R. Brommer, 84, of Brommer Lane, Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at home.

Born on June 23, 1940 in Ravine, he was a son of the late Harry Sr. and Leona Gruver Brommer.

John was a 1958 graduate of Pine Grove High School and a graduate of Windham College with a Bachelors Degree in Education.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

John was a Special Ed Teacher and worked in the Tri Valley School District.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.  He was also a proud member of the Tremont and Pine Grove Community Bands.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 50 years, Leanna M. Koch Brommer and a son, Jason A. Brommer.

Surviving are two sons, Alexander Brommer of Pine Grove, Nicolas Brommer of Newport News, VA and his wife Christina Brommer of Smithfield, VA; a daughter-in-law, Ann Brommer of Pine Grove; three grandchildren, Kyle Rhein and Katie Brommer, both of Pine Grove, Penny Kline of New York; two brothers, Harry Brommer Jr. and George Brommer; a sister Donna Schach, all of Pine Grove; nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral  Home, Inc., Pine Grove with SALM John Ziegler officiating.  There will be a viewing on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral  Home. Interment will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
