James A. Savant, Sr., 78, of Long Lane, Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at home.

Born on September 1, 1946 in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Herman J. Savant and Theresa Venner Payne.

He was a graduate of Pine Grove High School.

James was a truck driver for over 55 years and worked for PGT in Pittsburgh.

He was a member of the Pine Grove Masonic Lodge #409 F. & A.M. and OOIDA. 

Surviving are his wife of over 35 years, Maria Mull; two sons, James Jr. and wife Maria Savant of Bernville, George and wife Heather Savant of Robesonia; three grandchildren, Niko Savant, Aiden Savant and Bentley Savant.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 10:00 A.M., at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with SALM John Ziegler officiating.  There will be a viewing on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Kochenderfer Cemetery, Lebanon.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Compassus Hospice & Palliative Care, 1001 James Drive Suite B-34, Leesport, PA 19533 in his memory.
