Irma M. Harris, 96, of Pine Grove and Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 in Providence Place, Pottsville.

Born on March 10, 1929 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Annie Kutz Brown and was raised by her aunt and uncle, the late Lawrence and Dorothy Herring Brown.

She had been a seamstress at various factories in Pine Grove, worked in the warping department at Penn Dye in Pine Grove and later was a dishwasher in the Pine Grove Area Middle School cafeteria.

Irma was a member of the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, Pine Grove where the was a Deconness and attended the Grace EC Church in Schuylkill Haven for the last 10 years.

She was a member of the Pine Grove Senior Citizens. She enjoyed quilting, playing games, reading, traveling and spending time with family. She also loved her pet dogs.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 54 years, Leroy Harris; five brothers, Ernest, Richard, Charles D., Robert and Charles W. Brown; and a sister, Mildred Stump.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen Gibson of Auburn, Sharon Cunio of Carlisle; 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Grace EC Church, 151 Earl Stoyer St., Schuylkill Haven with Pastor Ted Rathman officiating. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. at the Church. Interment will be at a later date in the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Grace EC Church, 151 Earl Stoyer St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 in her memory.
