Harry B. Kurtz, 89, of Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East.
Born on February 25, 1929  in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Mays G. and Meta Bachman Kurtz.
He was a 1946 graduate of Cornwall High School.  He was a member and Sunday School Teacher at Manbeck's Church, Schuylkill Haven.
Harry was a dairy farmer and enjoyed taking care of his farm.
He was a member of the CEF Board and the Antique Association at the Schuylkill County Fair.
Preceding him in death were two grandchildren, Nevin Hostetter and Kimberly Ann Kurtz, a brother Earl Kurtz, daughter-in-law Kathleen Kurtz; a sister-in-law Darlene Kurtz.
Surviving are his wife Fern Hostetter Kurtz;  two sons Wayne and wife Donna Kurtz, Steve Kurtz, both of Pine Grove;  two daughters, Ardella and husband Kenneth Newswanger of Schuylkill Haven, Eileen and husband Calvin Hostetter of Rockwood, Pa.;  16 grandchildren;  25 great grandchildren;  brother Mays Kurtz, Jr. of Quentin.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Manbeck's Church, 110 Wild Cherry Rd., Schuylkill Haven, with Pastor Norm Dixon officiating.  Interment will be in Manbeck's Cemetery at the convenience of the family. 
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Pine Grove Council of Churches Weekday Church School, c/o Cathy Nagle, 527 Dad Burnhams Road Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 in his memory.
