Elaine A. Long, 90, of West Chester, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026 in Merrill Gardens West Chester.

Born on June 7, 1935 in Auburn, she was a daughter of  the late Stanley and Bessie Schrader Reber.

She was a graduate of Kutztown High School and VoTech in Marlin in the LPN Program.

Elaine was a LPN in the Telemetry Unit of the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville. 

She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove and Advent Lutheran Church in West Chester.  She was a past worthy matron of the Tremont Eastern Star. 

Elaine enjoyed bingo at Merrill Gardens, chocolate, travel and her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 66 years, Gerald H. Long, Sr. and a sister, Pearline Reber Cooper.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa and husband Jeff Klinger of West Chester; a son, Gerald Long Jr. and wife Gwen Artman of San Luis Obispo, CA; two grandchildren, Elise Klinger and Jeffrey Klinger, Jr.

All Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to either Advent Lutheran Church, 1601 Green Lane, West Chester, PA 19382 or Vision Corp, 244 Queens St. Lancaster, PA 17603 in her memory.
