Earl Morgan Obituary

Earl E. Morgan
May 14, 2023

Surrounded by his loving family, Earl E. Morgan, 96, of Pine Grove, entered into the loving arms of our Lord on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East, Pottsville.

Born on September 16, 1926 in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Raymond W. and Minnie Schwartz Morgan.  Earl had a full life and touched many lives in that time.

Earl was a 1944 graduate of Pine Grove High School.  He then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Central Europe during WWII.  He was a member of Co A 20th ARMD Inf. Bn.  He received the American Theater Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Ribbon.  He had many neighborhood friends that also went to serve their country.

Earl worked on the family farm and sawmill.  He was employed after the war as an Overhead Crane Operator for Alcoa in Cressona.  He met his wife Beatrice and was married for 69 years and raised not only three daughters but also a dear friends son in his early years.  Earl having daughters went on to be cub master of Pack 50 in Pine Grove and touched many lives and created long lasting friendships along the way.

He was a member of Salem Hetzel's UCC Church.  He was also a member of the Pine Grove Masonic Lodge #409 F. & A.M., the Pine Grove VFW Post 3432 and the Roedersville Fish and Game.

Earl was a kind, compassionate and loving man and attended sporting events that his children and grandchildren participated in. You could find Beatrice and Earl at events all throughout the year.  He loved working in his truck patch and you could always find a puzzle waiting for completion in the quiet hours.  You could find Earl sitting on his back porch and watching all kinds of birds visit his feeders and we'd have to keep the feeders filled to the brim.  He loved taking his family and others on camping trips to the Delaware and New Jersey beaches and created memories that his daughters and their families still continue to enjoy today.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 69 years, Beatrice L. Kerschner Morgan; a sister, Eva Roeder; and two brothers, William J. Morgan and Dennis Morgan.

Surviving are three daughters, Cindy and husband William Fenstermacher, Beth Ann Keller-Pinto and husband Roy, Patti and husband Dennis White, all of Pine Grove; 6  grandchildren, Casey Fenstermacher, Cody and wife Elizabeth Fenstermacher, Aaron Spell and fiancé Justine Madenford, Amber and husband Justin Myers, Kelsey and husband Benjamin Peterson, Austin White and fiancé Jessica Renninger; 8 great grandchildren, Connor, Cassidy and Callie Fenstermacher,  Jayce, Julianna and Zoie Myers, Bentlee and Bristol Peterson; a brother, Raymond and wife Lorraine Morgan; two sisters-in-law Marianne and Carol Morgan; many nieces and nephews.

A special thank you for the support of care givers from Sch. Home Care, Providence Place in Pottsville, along with the nurses of Lehigh Valley Hospital and Compassus Hospice care
