Earl J Kimmel, Jr., 92, of Summit Station,  passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at home.

Born on April 19, 1929 in Ravine, he was a son of the late  Earl C. and Lila A. Strouphauer Kimmel.

Earl was a Professional Truck Driver for Reading Transportation Co. He received numerous driver safety awards. 

He was a member of the Buck Fever Rod and Gun Club, Pottsville.  He was an avid boater and loved to be on the river and enjoyed fishing and hunting. 

He was a member of and played in different county/western bands.  He loved playing guitar and bass and loved being around people.

Preceding him in death were five brothers, Willis, William, Leo,  Lester, and  Harold Kimmel, and a sister, Pearl Zimmerman.

He has five children, Thomas of Orwigsburg, David A. of Schuylkill Haven, James of Minersville, Beth of Ephrata and Sandra of the Reading area;  grandchildren,  great grandchildren; and his beloved extended family of friends and neighbors that he was truly blessed to have in his life.

Services will be held at a later date.
