Beverly Thompson Obituary

Beverly A. Thompson
November 5, 2025

Known for her radiant smile, warm heart, and the joy she brought into every room, Beverly “Bev” A. Thompson, 77, of Pine Grove, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by the love she gave so freely throughout her life.

Born on November 24, 1947, in Pottsville, Bev was the daughter of the late Horace W. and Esther M. (Wolfe) Kutz. She was a proud graduate of Pine Grove Area High School.

Bev lived a joyful and spirited life - one centered around family, music, and celebrating every day she was given. She worked in Human Resources for many years at Guilford Mills and later at Thompson’s Waterproofing, where she was known for her kindness, humor, and ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued.

Her family was the heart of her world. She was married for many years to Bernard Thompson, and together they raised two sons she adored beyond measure. Bev cherished every moment with Scott and Troy - and especially treasured time with her beloved granddaughter, Livi, who brought her endless happiness.

Bev loved Christmas like no one else, transforming her home each year into a wonderland decorated with her collection of more than 140 snowmen - each one a little piece of her childlike delight. She loved to cook, dance, laugh, and fill her home with music that moved her soul. Her musical tastes ranged from Elvis and the Bee Gees to Michael Jackson and Tina Turner to Neil Diamond - but her greatest musical love was Andrea Bocelli. In 2018, she experienced one of the highlights of her life when she met him in Tuscany at his mother’s home - a memory she carried like a treasure.

Her faithful toy poodle, Toby, was by her side for 17 wonderful years, offering constant companionship and unconditional love. The bond they shared was pure devotion.

Bev radiated joy and love, approaching life with wonder, gratitude, and a lightness that inspired everyone around her. Her love continues on - in the family she adored, the joy she sparked, and every Christmas snowman that brings a smile to the world she lit up.

Preceding her in death were a brother, William Kutz, and a sister, Diane Kutz.

Surviving are her two sons, Scott A. Thompson of McLean, VA, and Troy L. Thompson of Johnstown, PA; her granddaughter, Olivia “Livi” Thompson; two sisters, Linda Wolfe and Marie Noecker, both of Pine Grove; a brother, Dennis Kutz of Pine Grove; and several nieces and nephews who adored her.

At this time there will be no services.
