Monroe A. Kintzel, 90, of Pine Grove, went home to meet his Savior on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Tremont Health & Rehab Center.
Born on December 11, 1927 in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Jesse and Alma Hughes Kintzel.
He was an WWII veteran having served in the Army.  He was a member of HQ Co #1 RTC, Ft. Bragg, N.C.
Monroe was a truck Driver. 
He was a member of the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, Pine Grove where he was a member of the mens chorus.
Preceding him in death were his wife Joan E. Lehr Kintzel; 6 brothers, Jesse, Harvey "Hip", Frank, Ira "Ike", Nathan and Abel Kintzel; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Butler, Vera Brown and Rachael Strouphauer.
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda and husband Robert Beuchler, Debra Joseph, both of Pine Grove;  two sons, Michael Kintzel of Schuylkill Haven, Kevin Kintzel of Pine Grove; 7 grandchildren,  Korin, Casey, Joshua, Mark, Eric, Darryl, Letitia;  17 great grandchildren;  one sister Leona Kintzel of Pine Grove; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, 347 Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., Pine Grove with Pastor Richard Hoffman officiating.  There will be a viewing on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M at the Church.  Interment will follow in the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Pine Grove Area Weekday Church School, c/o Cathy Nagle, 527 Dad Burnhams Rd., Schuylkill Haven, Pa. 17972 in his memory.
