Horace D. "Tiny" Fisher, Jr. 97, of Pine Grove, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in Orwigsburg Center.
Born on January 5, 1921 in Schuylkill Haven, he was the only child of the late Horace D. Sr. and Ellen M. Trumbo Fisher.
He was a member of Salem Hetzel's Church, Pine Grove.  He was a long time member of the Friedensburg Fire Co. and Pine Grove Masonic Lodge, #409 F. & A.M.
Horace was a self employed truck driver and then worked for Ernst Trucking in Orwigsburg.  He was also a school bus driver for R & J Transportation in Cressona.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Ruth E. Ferrebee Fisher, and a son that he raised, Robert Young.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Strausser of Orwigsburg, Ellen Heaney of Puyallup, WA; 5 grandchildren, Blaine Strausser, Dawn Kemery, Peter Heaney, Kacia Kelly and Patricia O'Neill;  14 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. from Hetzel's Lutheran Church, 261 Hetzel's Church Rd., Pine Grove with Pastor Jill Bierwirth officiating.  There will be a viewing on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. at the Church. Masonic Services will be held prior to the start of the Funeral.  Interment will follow in Hetzel's Cemetery, Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Salem Hetzel's Church Memorial Fund, 261 Hetzel's Church Rd., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in his memory.
