Edwin I. Jones, 67, of N. Tulpehocken St.,  Pine Grove,  passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at home.
 

Born on July 9, 1950 in Galveston, TX, he was a son of the late Henry Johnson and Bertha Jones Sloan.
 

Edwin grew up in Oakland, CA and was a graduate of Emery High School.  He then furthered his education in college with many Bachelors Degrees.
 
He was a Sgt in the Air Force and Specialist in the Army.  He was a member of the Army National Guard in California and in Pennsylvania.  While in California, he was part of the USAR Troop Program Unit, and the 49th Trans. Hal Co.  He also served in the HHC 2/6th Inf.  In Pennsylvania, he was with Co C 2/104th AVN in Annville.   He was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol and Vet 21, where he helped with military services at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
 

Edwin worked in Technical Support for various companies.
 

He obtained his black belt and was a Tae Kwon-Do teacher at Secreases Karate School in Berkeley, CA.
 

He was a member of Faith Church in Orwigsburg.
 

Preceding him in death was his wife Crystal M. DeLong-Jones on Dec. 9, 2016.
 

Surviving are three daughters; Johneisha Jones of San Diego, CA,  Alina Kaul of Germany and Abagail DeLong-Jones of Pine Grove;  a grandson, Robert Cotton, Jr.
 

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral  Home, Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Doug Cresswell officiating.  There will be a viewing on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Funeral  Home.  Interment will follow in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
